“Jersey Shore” Parodies
Since the show’s debut on December 2, 2009, there have been a number of parodies of Jersey Shore online, many of them involving actual cast members from the series. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, the same 3 cast members who appeared in The Real Situation showed up to perform a skit explaining the story of the first Christmas.
Other popular take-offs on Jersey Shore include a video in which two dogs re-enact the infamous incident in which Snooki was assaulted by Brad Ferro and a re-creation of the game Street Fighter using footage from the show.
The Funny or Die skit “The Real Situation,” starring Snooki, Pauly D and The Situation. In the scene, The Situation and Snooki are dancing and are joined by housemate Pauly D. At this point, The Situation breaks “character” and announces that he can no longer continue to play a character that he does not understand.
